Shopping at a variety of specialty stores is made easy, as many shops are located within walking distance from the Marina in the Historic Waterfront District. Another major shopping center is only a short walk away. Also within walking distance are the Menominee Historical Museum, Spies Public Library, a supervised swimming beach, a large park with picnic area, and Menominee's icon, Menominee North Pier Light otherwise known as the Menominee Lighthouse.

Throughout the summer the Marina/Historic Waterfront District is home to the Concert In The Park series held at the Menominee Band shell on Thursday evenings. Other recreation activities abound throughout Menominee/Marinette including the M & M YMCA and numerous parks throughout the Twin Cities. The area also has several golf courses to challenge your end, and the waters off the Marina offer some of the best fishing opportunities in the entire Midwest.

Several major, citywide activities take place in the Historic Waterfront District and at the Marina during the summer such as the Kids' Fishing Derby, Art for All,
M & M Antique Car Club Show, Brown Trout Fishing Derby, and the annual 100-Miler sailboat race as well as the annual Menominee Waterfront Festival, which draws large attendance and features several food booths along with the largest parade in the Upper Peninsula.

Getting to Menominee is easy either by boat, land, or air. The Twin Cities are served by U.S. 41 and are only a short one-hour drive north of Green Bay, and the Twin County Airport is only a short distance away.
